Charlotte's 1st Riverfront Park - Coming Summer 2028
Water is integral to every facet of the River District. The first phase of our river front access, called River Point, is about creating public access to the beautiful Catawba River. This is also the first - and only - river front park in Charlotte.
The Catawba River
Flowing through 26 counties in North and South Carolina, this 8,900 mile waterway provides drinking water for more than 2 million residents and generates electricity for over 3 million residents. Often labeled "The Hardest Working River in America!".
Westrow
The 1st Phase of the River District, designed to deliver an urban, amenitized experience, Westrow is the 70-acre town center. Here, a small-scale residential, office, and retail community surrounds a sustainable 2-acre working farm, echoing a historical agrarian settlement.
Stewardship
We're sustainable to the core. We're not only pursuing LEED for communities, but we're also working to be recognized as the first One Planet Living community in the southeast and are designing the first Mass Timber construction office building in Charlotte, NC.
